Comfort Zone is a two-person exhibition by Rachel Smith and Juventino Aranda that explores how discomfort is navigated. Both artists are captivated by the power of certain materials and images to produce a sense of collective nostalgia. This sense of familiarity is deconstructed and re-combined in ways that distort information to provoke unease. The exhibition is a conversation about the complexities and entanglements that surround popular culture, historical information, formed within our nostalgic longing.
