Gholson Gardens & Old Homestead Alpacas
Old Homestead Alpacas raises suri alpaca for their soft fiber on a 10-acre historic homestead property. Each fiber harvest is transformed into exquisite hand knitting yarns as well as a variety of professionally machine-knit garments. We grow a host of heirloom and ancient dye plants and flowers which are used to naturally dye the yarns and garments, providing rich and vibrant color-fast hues. With flower and plant production already underway, the farm launched Gholson Gardens which pays homage to the original homestead family surname, and offers seasonal cut flowers at local farmer's markets.
